Hala everyone! Arabic Pick took a long break (a couple months already) but I am starting to revive it. Here is something I've learned a couple days ago...
ArabicBoyat
English:  Lesbian. Cross-dressing women. Loosely translated as tomboys or transsexuals (derived from the English word boy). In Qatar and the UAE, they often wear men's clothes and baggy pants under their abaya in public, they have short hair and also talk, walk and appear like a man. Singular form: boyah
Example:
Ellen DeGeneres and Sam Ronson are well-known boyat.

P.S. I have learned the above word/phrase informally. Arabic speakers, please feel free to correct me. Thanks!
