Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow

Hell, yeah, I will still love you tomorrow and days after tomorrow!!!

My Saudi guy - N (the Arab bug who bit me :p) sent me mp3 of this song yesterday. He said he thought of sending to me when he downloaded the new album of Amy Winehouse. ♥

Little things he didn't know, my heart was and still jumping for joy and I've been smiling, giggling and blushing like a teenager... I know, right? ♥

Here's the song, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do ♥

Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow

Tonight you're mine completely
You give your love so sweetly
Tonight the light of love is in your eyes
Will you love me tomorrow?

Is this a lasting treasure
Or just a moment's pleasure?
Can I believe the magic of your sighs?
Will you still love me tomorrow?

Tonight with words unspoken
And you say that I'm the only one, the only one, yeah
But will my heart be broken
When the night meets the morning star?

I'd like to know that your love
Is love I can be sure of
So tell me now, cause I won't ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Will you still love me tomorrow?

Thoughts on "Desperate in Dubai"

So finally, got my own copy of Desperate in Dubai novel after waiting for a long time. It's a good read though I felt like I already read half or a third of the book. It's a little different from the blog, I mean, the flow of the story.

It's amusing to read. Interesting. I can't stop laughing at Rowdha when she pretended to be Jennifer. My favorite characters are Lady Luxe/Jennifer and Leila. It's funny how Leila reminds me of some random woman (an American or Canadian??).. she's kinda like Leila, eager to make friends with Emirati girls just because she wants to get a hold of an Emirati guy.. it is called networking. LOL. As for Nadia and Sugar, I think they arent as much as important as Lady Luxe and Leila, the story can go on without them. I also think that there's some biased description about the character Sugar compared to the others because I believe the author is an Indian (?).

I won't say anything about the story as I dont wanna spoil it for you. So as for whatever happened to whom it's for you to read :p

I just hope that the book has some footnotes to explain the meaning of the Arabic and Hindi words/phrases mentioned because not all readers understand the language(s).

Overall, I recommend you to read the book esp if you're into some cultural stuff.

P.S.  I've picked up (I took notes mentally) some interesting Arab men thingy there, will write about it soon.

Spirit of the Union

Super belated Happy 40th National Day, UAE!!! (Uber-late post, sorry.)

The following photos were taken at the Meydan Racecourse where the UAE Ballooning Championship exhibited their, of course, Hot Air Balloons plus the first-ever Night Glow and mass of Skylamps released. I witnessed them all last 2nd of December, hundreds of lanterns were released that Friday night and some part of Dubai skies were illuminated...  It was fun!

Guys, you have to tilt your head to get the view, for some reason, I cannot rotate the pics. Sorry *red-faced and grinning*

On Relationship

For some reasons, relationship reaches to a point when you no longer see the world in rose-colored glasses — you  know, the grass is greener, sun is brighter, sky is bluer, stars sparkle brighter, clouds are forming heart shapes and stuff.

It is where you no longer see some magical rose garden over the horizon and the butterflies stop flying in your stomach.

And then it brings you to the reality of life — you find yourself holding on to someone so tight and walking away is not an option because you fear that having someone so great won't come again in your life.

Love is indeed stupid. LOL.

Aal Izz Vell

If you've seen the Indian film "3 Idiots", you'll get what I'm talking about.

To those who didn't, "Aal izz vell" is NOT a Hindi phrase. It's the English phrase "all is well" in Indian accent :p

If you wanna laugh and get bored at the same time then watch it. It's a 3-hour movie so you know..

Anyway, the movie will help you make understand their accent more, esp here in Dubai/UAE and I really can relate..

Just like a couple of days ago, someone said he's from "Aal Eyed company" upon seeing his business card, I learned he's from "Allied". Then another guy told me he's from "Tea Funny", then later I learned he's from "Tiffany". And another one says "See Bonnie" instead of "Si Bonne".  So who would have thought "Prog Receive company" is spelled as "Progressive"?

Again, I could go on and on but that's all for now.

I hope AAL IZZ VELL with y'all. Wish you happiness today and always :)

For the past few weeks, I've learned something..

I've learned that oversharing your personal life (or the so-called lovelife) online will bring you to a place that isn't very nice, somewhere you shouldn't be... that sometimes oversharing can lead you to psychotic people who will send you psychotic messages regularly as if you are subscribed to them.

It really is too difficult to experience...

Eid al-Adha Mubarak to all the Muslims around the globe!!! (so sorry for the late greetings)

Last Sunday, I celebrated my Eid al-Adha Holiday at Mamzar Beach Park with my roomie and her group of friends (total of 11 people). We had a wonderful picnic, great walk and fun swimming though the beach park was crowded that day. Check out the photos (thanks to roomie's friends for taking awesome pics)..

Our group (7 out 11 people) goofing around.

The Pink Walkathon

Last Friday, I participated in the annual Pink Walkathon (BurJuman Safe & Sound Breast Cancer Awareness Programme). Was my first time to join so even if I was down with flu (I still am), I still went and walked. Was amazing and I really had fun. I was there with my friends since 7:30 am, had our face painted and watched Rob Idol (UK's biggest tribute to Robbie Williams) who sang few hit songs of RW. We, of course, joined the fun meaning we sang and danced with him, LOL. The Walkathon started past 8am and finished the 3.6km walk around 10:30 am. There were 12,500 participants, which I believe there were more. In front of the walkers, were guys in Harleys then some sheikhs (sorry I forgot your highness' name) and people with drums. I really enjoyed it. After the walk, there was a live band inside the Burjuman and few sales of random stuff . Had breakfast while enjoying the live music. People were singing and dancing with the band. I stayed for an hour at least then went home as my flu was getting worse (sore throat, hoarseness, watery eyes, sneezing, stuffy nose, cough, headache, name it, LOL). So anyway, here are the photos (taken by my roomie) for you
