The Sheikh's Son

There's an interesting musical film that I would like to see -- Emir (= an Arabic word, means "commander" or "general", also "prince").

Still Waiting For The Keyboard To Kick In

I am not fully back, my laptop keyboard is messing with me  and I'm using on-screen keyboard, temporarily, to type while the keyboard is warming up (Note to self: Buy external keyboard asap!).

Plan B

Have you ever been in a situation/relation where you were not a priority but merely an option?

I have read about a 30-year-old girl who has a boyfriend who doesn't want to marry her yet because he needs to spend 6 more years fooling around fulfilling his ambition. He has been good to her since day 1 but didn't promised anything and never discussed about wedding plans ever. Isn't that clear that he is not so into her ready to settle down?

Sometimes it still hurts even if you already knew it right from the start.... So don't make anybody your priority, if you're just his/her option.

Land Of Cactus And Home Of Camels

Three years ago I got "reunited" with a classmate from gradeschool thru some social networking site. After my former classmate found out I was "homecoming" from the Gulf, I was asked to bring some desert sand as souvenir/gift.

OMIGOAT!?!

What people dont know about the Gulf countries or the Arab world is that they arent really land of cactus and home of camels. In fact, I need to travel an hour or 2 just to see a real desert.

Here's what the Arabs say... "Yes, I am from the Gulf/Arab world but I don't live in a tent or have a personal oil well in my backyard!"

Need I Say More?

When I was younger, younger than today, I've noticed that Japanese are the most gullible generous people in the whole universe **exaggerating** but now my life has changed in oh so many ways **singing but couldnt recall the correct lyrics** I never knew what it feels like for someone having my back till I met my Arab **channeling Sandra Bullock but forgot her exact words** Anyway, on a serious note **laughing now** my Arab IS my lifeline. His name was naive, he was a shy guy... shy guy-shy guy, and i say merci-merci-merci, follow me-follow me **singing again** The Arab I know is generous, period.

Will Life Ever Go Back To "Normal"?

Dear Internet, I'm so vampiric without you, it's like having you here. Abnormally yours, Me

Life, without internet, sucks. I feel so very third world, so isolated and so disconnected from the outside world. I was actually waiting for a positive outcome of being internet-less, e.g. sleeping early or reading books or belly dancing or watchin real TV... But none of this happened, my sleeping pattern has gotten worst, I've been up longer than usual and staying more late than ever -- awake every whole damn night and sleeping around 10am and sometimes 12noon. Drinking not only a glass but 4 glasses of warm milk didnt work, I even tried counting... ANTS!!! I hate my insomnia, the only ones who benefit it are my pimples. They are feasting on my face!

(Hala, mar7aba y'all! This is me, Bitten, blogging from phone. Thanks for dropping by. You can leave your comments at the end of this message which will I read and publish it here later. -end of the message-)

Dubai Is Not A Country

Contrary to popular belief, Dubai is not a kingdom nor a country. It is one of the seven emirates which make up the country United Arab Emirates (UAE)

World Largest Terminal Building Experience

Last year I traveled through Emirates Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport to my homeland. It was really remarkable - the whole building is absolutely beautiful, the architecture is extremely impressive , it's very spacious and  has excellent lounges. Splendid!

A walk through the world's single largest terminal building and home of Emirates Airlines...

Redrawing The Lines Of Privacy

Sorry but I learned my lesson the hard way so I opted to treat my relationship with my Arab as "private and personal matter".  And please stop asking me about my future with him because what tomorrow brings, I cannot know. Even you can't see everything what lies ahead.  All I know is that any woman would want her long term relationship to end up in marriage.

Footages Say A Gazillion Words

Few days ago, the world woke up to yet another bad West Bank news: Israel commandos attacked a defenseless Gaza-bound international aid convoy and killed 19 people on board.

Oh My Almarai!

Looking back on life in a Gulf country, there were few stuff that I patronized because they really suit my taste and standards. Almarai products were common to my grocery list and a must have on my cart:
fresh milk, black cherry yoghurt, orange juice with pulp, milk chocolate

A Quick Glance

Another quick glance of the view from my 2nd home (away from home) -- I really loved my old veranda because it overlooked a beautiful Creek especially at night. Enjoy the short clip everyone :)

Burqini - Would You Wear It?

Burqini has existed since seven years ago so I guess y'all know what it is. In case you don't and you haven't seen it -- it's the swimsuit that resembles a scuba diving suit. Here take a look...
