Oh Dear, it IS a Hotel NOT some Sheikh's Palace!

This is the problem when we don't know which is which. I mean, have you ever received an email or emails showing pictures about the "extravagant" lifestyle of the "greedy, oil-rich" Arab sheikhs telling us - the public - why fuel prices continue to shoot up?!

Here's one of those e-mails saying "The House Oil Built"..

In case you're wondering where this hotel is, it isn't a hotel at all. IT IS A HOUSE! It's owned by the family of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the former president of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Abu-Dhabi.

Keep in mind the gentleman has more than 20 wives. This is one of 70 baths. Some are bigger than my house.
This is his little swimming pool.

These are his cars.
The Audi A8 in Silver was made for the Sheikh. It is not silver in color, it is made out of Silver!

Amazing what your petrol-money can buy, isn't it?
What amazes me more is how some people believe those stories in an instant without any doubt. This might be an old topic and had been classified as a hoax but it just keeps going on and on and on. So here's the real deal, the pictures above are real but the stories are fake. It's the Emirates Palace Hotel Abu Dhabi, renowned as one of the world's most opulent hotels.

About having 20 wives, apparently, it is not true as Muslim men are only allowed to have a maximum of 4 wives at a time. (You can can verify this info with any Muslim.)

As for the cars, I believe it was explained that it was "polished with fine abrasive paper as well as special polishes to high gloss". Sorry, I can't explain it myself as I have zero knowledge of cars.

I remember Mark Twain once said, "Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint."
