Just Another Forwarded Email Tale

...and just another "blame it on the Arabs' luxurious lifestyle" for those damnable high oil prices. Old stuff but it is really something that will go on forever.

Here's the email..
Subject: FW: Your Gasoline Purchases at Work

Remember, this is in the middle of the desert.... The very HOT desert where temperatures get up to 120 degrees.....
But true.....
The INSIDE view:
Why is gasoline $$$$$ a gallon for regular unleaded?????? Supply and demand??? That must be it.... we want them to supply us with the oil and they demand that we pay the price!

Okay, those were authentic photos but apparently misrepresented. I have been to Ski Dubai, the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East. It is a part of the Mall of the Emirates, one of the world's largest shopping malls. Too bad I can't post my pictures here because wooh-guys, my face is all over the pics and I don't want to scare you, LOL. We didn't go skiing nor snowboarding , we just wandered around the Snow Park (Note to self: Revisit Ski Dubai and take MORE pictures of the resort). But it was pretty amusing experience as I have never encountered freezing temperature in my life before. For the first time, I had dressed in down-filled jackets and worn snow boots (provided with the ticket price) before I went inside the park because there was around 50°C difference in temperature outside the shopping mall and inside the ski resort. I think it was a bone-chilling -5°C because I had a runny nose right off the bat after being inside for few minutes and we even stopped for a hot choco break at one of the caf├ęs at midstation, but not much of help, so we only stayed for less than an hour for the obvious reason

Ski Dubai is a unique mountain-themed attraction that offers everyone an amazing snow setting to enjoy skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing, or just playing in the snow all year round. It is actually the coolest thing to do in Dubai. 'Nuff said.
