There's an interesting musical film that I would like to see -- Emir (= an Arabic word, means "commander" or "general", also "prince").
More or less, the movie is about a crown prince in Morocco who speaks Tagalog and Ilocano (= two of the languages spoken in the Phillippines) fluently.
How did it happen?
He was introduced to the culture, values and language of the Philippines because the nanny who took care of him, nurtured him and acted as his surrogate mother was from the Philippines.
What interest me the most, is how the nanny's journey interpreted -- through song-and-dance, so very Bollywood-ish.
It would be nice if this movie will be released internationally with English subtitles, of course...
