Contrary to popular belief, Dubai is not a kingdom nor a country. It is one of the seven emirates which make up the country United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Dubai is the commercial and leisure capital and second largest emirate of the UAE. Abu Dhabi is the first largest emirate, the seat of the federal government and the country's capital. The other five emirates are Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah. The UAE is bordered by Oman to the east and Saudi Arabia to the west and south. It's an ideal location for everyone because of its geographical proximity to the Middle East, Northern and Southern Africa, the Indian Subcontinent and the CIS.
