Go and Enjoy your Rice!

Rice is an integral part of my culture and cuisine just like in the arab world.

In my country, food without rice is typically not considered a meal. Basically, it is part of every meal. We eat rice three times a day - breakfast, lunch and dinner. We either cook or have it plain  (steamed rice) or fried (left over rice fried in garlic).

In the Arab cuisine, rice is the staple and is the main part of lunch and sometimes dinner.  It is used for many soups and most dishes with lamb, chicken, beef or fish.

A lunch or dinner  menu , in an ordinary arab gulf state's home, consists of a sumptuous rice and lamb or chicken (or both) garnish with several stewed vegetables and other spices.

So, how is rice in your cuisine? ✿
